Europe-Envirocom broke new ground by launching in 1999/2000 the first European contest of Animated Electronic Postcards on the Environment. The theme: Environment? with humor! The contest was aimed essentially at participants from art schools in Switzerland and in Europe. Yet, it was also open to any web browser with an interest in Flash creation.

At the end of the contest, 12'000 Swiss Francs were distributed in prizes, and three creators were selected and rewarded. The jury, composed of representatives from the domains of the environment, education, and communication, awarded the first prize to Florence Cavin for a card in the "Love" category entitled Mushrooms.
